About Us

The Writers K is a team of two writers: Kathryn Place and Katy Ellis. We discovered our mutual love of words in the Graduate English Program at Western Washington University, where we collaborated on a number of writing projects. Our mission to produce good, solid writing led us to form The Writers K. We are unique in that we combine the power of multiple editors with the efficiency of a lead project writer. Because we work well both independently and cooperatively, we offer a breadth of specialties and can fulfill your larger project or meet your tight deadline.

Katy EllisKaty Ellis has a B.A. from the University of Victoria’s Writing Program in British Columbia, Canada, and a Masters in English from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.
